Open Day – Sunday 17 April 2005 … Volunteers needed
Heritage month is April 2005 and our shul open day will be on Sunday
17 April 2005.   Over the past few years, we have held successful
“Open Days” at the Hobart shul.    Can you help on the day ?
Please take a moment to consider whether you can spare an hour or two to continue the
tradition and help make this day a success.   Please contact Caroline Heard* as soon as
possible. (* preferably via email: shule@hobart.org or by phone:
6239 1590)
Caroline needs to know your name, contact number and/or email address, and also if you
would like to help in the morning (10.00 to 12.30) or afternoon (12.30 to 3.00) or for part
of the time (even an hour helps!)
KOSHER KORNER
Whilst things are still a little disrupted at Coles, Sandy Bay, with regard to the provision of kosher
items, we have been informed that things should be generally improved as soon as mainland
warehouse deliveries can be tailored to suit this local supermarket’s storage capabilities.
Elizabeth Mall Delicatessen is also endeavouring to bring in kosher items and you are encouraged to
support this local outlet.
Please remember that we all need to support the efforts to get kosher products into local stores,
otherwise we’ll return to the “bad old days” of having to get friends and relations to bring what we need
from the mainland!
Also, every time you make a kosher product made in Israel, you are doing “your bit” for Israel’s
economy however small this may seem!
