KOSHER AUSTRALIA
Have you ever wanted to know what kosher really
means? Are you looking for kosher options but
not sure where to start? Kosher Australia was
established in 1968 as Melbourne Kashrut, and
the site provides a comprehensive guide to
everything kosher. Their website URL is:
In Australia, up to 1.1 million people select kosher
foods, and only 44 per cent of those people are
Jewish! The sensitivity of kosher foods to meat
and dairy products make it a popular choice for
vegetarians and vegans, as well as the diet-
conscious. In fact, most of us already eat some
kosher foods, as 75 per cent of all ingredients are
kosher certified.

SPRING-SUMMER TOUR TO ISRAEL
3 WEEKS IN ISRAEL, (INCLUDING A VISIT TO PETRA) AND VISITING REFORM
COMMUNITIES IN ISRAEL INCLUDING THE REFORM KIBBUTZIM IN THE NEGEV
Led by Rabbi Dick Lampert, Chairman of ARZA NSW and Rabbi Emeritus of North
Shore Temple Emanuel, Chatswood, and guided by professional Israeli guide.
Israel in April/May is just a delight warm enough after winter and without the searing heat of mid-
summer.
It is planned to leave Australia after Pesach (on or about 23rd/24th April) and to be in Israel in time for
Yom HaAtzmaut. Because the flight is long and tiring, it is planned to overnight in an airport hotel in
Asia (possibly Bangkok and spend the next day touring the city or resting) and thus arrive in Israel
fresher than after the long flight.
We will stay in mainly 4-star accommodation and the price will include all transfers, tips, the guide and
bus whilst in Israel, many meals and admissions to places of interest (museums, etc).
We hope to visit historic and Biblical sites of interest, touring the country from north to south, east to
west and seeing places of particular interest to Australians through our contacts with JNF, UIA etc.
As yet, the price has not been finalised expressions of interest are called for at this time and Rabbi
Lampert will be in touch with those interested as soon as details are finalised.
Call Rabbi Lampert at (02) 9411 2075 or email rablamp@iprimus.com.au
