Biography

An original founding member who served several years as president and treasurer. Levy, along with Abraham Rheuben and Israel Hyams was one of the few founding members who stayed in Hobart for decades past the 1840s. Levy's daughter Priscilla married Rev. Israel Morris Goldreich, who later became the minister of the Ballarat congregation.

Levy left Hobart for Melbourne in 1874 and there was a presentation given to him by the congregation.
