Minutes of Meeting held at the Board Room of the Synagogue on February 19th, 1947

PRESENT
Messers. G. Benjamin, Coronel, H. Epstein, H. Jacob, Seidel, Warse, Mrs. Fixel.  Apology for his unavoidable received from Mr. R. Chase.

REV. WARSE
Rev. Warse was introduced to the members of the Committee.  It was agreed that Rev. Warse should at first act as Minister for a period of two to three months.  If so desired a contract for a specified time would be issued after this trial period has elapsed.  A remuneration of £520 per annum is to be paid to Rev. Warse, however it was pointed out that this represents a considerable sacrifice to the Community, owing to its present small membership.  The Committee therefore has no objects, on the contrary it would welcome, if Rev. Warse utilised his other abilities to increase his income, so that gradually the burden on the Community could be made lighter.  This would make engagement for a longer period feasible.

SERVICE
Concerning the conduct of the Service it was agreed that this is the right and privilege of Rev. Warse.
Moved by Mr. H. Epstein and seconded by Mr. Seidel.

Rev. Warse requestd to become a member of the Committee.

The Meeting was then closed.
