General Meeting Sunday 18th June 1848 The President in the ChairIt was resolved that the following Law beaded to the Rules and Regulations:
That any Committee man not attending Divine Service by the time the reader has reached נשמת shall be fined Two Shillings & six pence and if for three other successive Sabbaths he does not attend by the time specified he shall be considered to have resigned and the Committee shall proceed to a new Election.
The Treasurer Judah Solomon Esq. publicly stated that if the Congregation could not afford to repay him his loan of Three hundred and fifty pounds, he would never demand it. A letter from Mr. Isaac Friedman relative to the Loan was read by the Secretary.
