Committee Meeting 6th November 1850Samuel Moses Esq. President
Present Messrs Judah Solomon, Philip Levy, Saml Levy Senr, H. L. Moses, Abrm Rheuben, Edwd Casper, Moses Abrahams, David Moses & Revd M. Cohen.
A Letter was laid before the Meeting from the Honorary Secretary of the Launceston Congregation craving assistance towards the liquidation of the Debt at present upon the Synagogue, it was then resolved that a list be at once opened for the purpose.
The following named Gentlemen signified their intention of subscribing the sums placed after their respective names towards liquidating the Debt at present on the Launceston Synagogue:

Abm Rheuben “ 3.3.0
H. L. Moses “ 3.3.0
Moses Abrahams “ 2.2.0
Abm Hort “ 3.3.0
The President also laid before the Meeting a Letter from Mr. Isaac Friedman at present a resident in New South Wales, when it was resolved that a Letter of Thanks be written to him Thanking him as a Member of our Congregation and also for his services as a Member of the Committee for a considerable time past.
It was also resolved that the Salary of Mr. Joseph Lyons Messenger to the Synagogue be raised from Twenty pounds to Thirty pounds per Annum to take effect from the first day of the New Year past of xxx 5611.
A vote of thanks was then passed to the President for his able conduct in the Chair.
