Committee meeting Sunday 8th Novr 5624=1863
The President in the Chair.

Present Messrs Abm Marks, Nathan, B Vallentine, Lazarus Levy and Leo Susman. A letter of resignation from Mr Jones the Reader was laid before the meeting and in the motion of Mr Abm Marks the Treasurer seconded by Mr Lazs Levy that the same be received.
It was agreed to.

Proposed by Mr Lazs Levy and seconded by Leo Susman that it be recommended to the General Meeting that the sum of fifty pounds be given to Mr Jones on his retiring from Office irrespective of his salary and that the sum standing on the books against him in the books be expunged.

It was also intimated that both Mr Philip Levy and Mr Abm Marks had written to Melbourne by the last mail about a n

A draft of an agreement was read concerning a new lease to be given to Mr Watkins of the Burial Ground. Proposed by Mr Abm Marks and seconded by Mr Lazs Levy, that the President, Mr B Vallentine, Leo Susman and the mover form a committee to report upon certain improvements necessary to be made to the Burial Ground.

The meeting then adjourned.
