Meeting Minutes, 16 April 1871

Transcription
General Meeting on Sunday the 16th April 5631-1871 at Synagogue Chambers.President in the chair. Present Messrs Solomon, Phillips, Lewis, L Levy & AS Levy.
Hon Secty read read a letter the President had received from Mr Nathan resigning his office as a member of Committee, whereupon it was resolved that Mr Nathan's resignation be accepted. Resolved that a letter of thanks be written to Mr Nathan prior to his departure from here for his attendance and efficiency as a member of Committee for many years.
Resolved that a testimonial in the shape of a handsome engraved address be procured for Mr Nathan by voluntary contributions of members, that the President, Treasurer & Secretary do draw up the address & that it be signed by all the contributors.
Resolved that Mr Phillips be a member of Committee in the room of of Mr Nathan.
President then laid before the meeting a letter he had received from Mr Louis Nathan London, enclosing a draft for £10, which the Hon Secty was ordered to acknowledge by the next outgoing mail.
Meeting then closed.
