General Meeting of members on Sunday 27th August 1871 at Synagogue Chambers
The President in the chair.
Present Messrs Solomon, L Levy, A Rheuben, I Hyams, L Phillips & H Lewis.

Minutes of last meeting were read & confirmed.

A letter was read from the Rev Mr Pulver, asking for assistance for the ensuing holidays & suggesting that gentlemen might be sent for from Melbourne for the sum of £15 – proposed by Mr Rheuben & seconded by Mr Phillips that the Hon Sec be instructed to write a letter to Mr Pulver in answer to his, informing him that the Cong has agreed to be half the expense of getting a competent person over from Melbourne to assist him during the holidays, provided such expenses do not exceed the amount mentioned in his letter. Carried unanimously.

The Auditors then brought up the balance sheet duly audited & certified to the correctness of the same. Meeting then closed.
