Transcription
General Meeting of Members at Chambers on Sunday the 14th April 1872President in the chair and Msrs Solomon, Rheuben, Hyams, Lewis & Secretary.
Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. Resolved that Mr Myers' salary do commence from the date that Mr Pulver's engagement ceases. The President then introduced the matter for which he had called the meeting, viz the letter of EH Beddington of London forwarding Prospectus & appeal of the Anglo-Jewish Association and asking for the members of this congregation to enroll themselves as members of the Association. The documents were read by the Secretary.
Mr Rheuben brought the matter of the new cemetery under the notice of the meeting, when it was resolved that Msrs J Levy, J Solomon & A Rheuben do carry out the trenching and proposed planting of the old burial ground.
