A committee meeting of the H.H.C. was held at 134 Elizabeth Street. It was held on January 4th, 1920

Present
Mr B. Harris (chair), Mr J. Glasser (tr), Mr J. Levy and the Hon Sec Mr Nat Edwards


The Hon Sec reported he had received an application from Mr Arthur J Nathan of Melbourne enclosing two references and requesting that his wife be made a proselyte to the Jewish faith and after the matter had been duly considered it was proposed by Mr B. Harris, seconded by J. Glasser and carried unanimously that the application of Mr Nathan be granted and that he be informed the fee for same be Twenty five pounds.

The Hon Sec reported that he had received a letter from the Rev I. Morris in which he stated he was about to apply for the vacant position of Minister to the Auckland congregation, and it was proposed by Mr Nat Edwards, seconded by Mr J. Levy and carried unanimously that the executive do all in their power to further the candidature of the rev gentleman and that a reference be forwarded to the president of the Auckland congregation signed by the president and the hon sec of the H.H.C. and if the rev gentleman was unsuccessful in his application he be returned in his present position.

Read and confirmed at the Committee Meeting held on February 19th, 1920.
