Correspondence
Moved by Mr. M. Davis and seconded by Mr. M. Edwards that the correspondence be received.
Moved by Mr. M. Edwards & seconded by Mr. D. Mendes that a letter be wrote to Dr. Bernstein telling him that for the present the Congregation was not in the position to maintain a Minister and thanking him for his splendid services at the last holidays and if you are not engaged at the next holidays we will be pleased to engage you again.
A telegram was sent to the Governor General congratulating him on his elevation, which was moved by Mr. H. Glover & seconded by Mr. S. Glasser.
This meeting is called for the purpose or otherwise of appointing an official minister for this Congregation.
Moved by Mr. S. Glasser & seconded by Mr. M. Edwards that the action of the Trustees in Putting £70 in the Commonwealth Loan at 6% for 2 years be endorsed.
Moved by Mr. M. Edwards & seconded by Mr. D. Mendes that the sum of £10 be taken out of the current account & be placed to the credit of the Philanthropic Fund.
The President then declared the meeting closed, as there was no further business.
