Annual General Meeting (31 May 1931) of the Hobart Hebrew Congregation held at the Hobart Synagogue, Argyle Street Hobart.

Present Mr. H. Glover, Mr. S. Glasser, Mr. D. Mendes, Mr. G. Benjamin, Mr. A.G
Benjamin, Mr. M. Davis and Mr. J. Levy.

The President Mr. H. Glover welcomed Mr. A. G. Benjamin & Mr. J. Levy back to our meetings & hoped that it would be the beginning to many others.

Moved by Mr. M. Davis & seconded by Mr. D. Mendes that the minutes of the last general meeting be confirmed as read; carried.

Moved by Mr. G. Benjamin & seconded by Mr. J. Levy that the minutes of the Committee Meeting held (20 January 1931) be confirmed as read, (carried).

President            Moved by Mr. J. Levy & seconded by Mr. G. Benjamin that Mr. H. Glover be elected President for the coming year, elected unopposed.

Vice-President    Moved by Mr. M. Davis & seconded by Mr. A. G. Benjamin that Mr.  D. Mendes be Vice-President for the coming year, elected unopposed.

Treasurer             Moved by Mr. H. Glover & seconded by Mr. J. Levy that Mr. S. Glasser be Treasurer for the coming year, elected unopposed.

Secretary             Moved by Mr. J. Levy & seconded by Mr. M. Davis that Mr. George Benjamin be elected Secretary for the coming year, elected unopposed.

Committee           Moved by Mr. S. Glasser & seconded by Mr. H. Glover that Mr. A. G. Benjamin be elected.

                            Moved by Mr. H. Glover & seconded by Mr. J. Levy that Mr. M. Davis   be elected; on the order of management, these two members were                                            elected unopposed and the third member was left over for a future meeting.

Auditors               Moved by Mr. H. Glover & seconded by Mr. J. Levy that Mr. M. Davis and Mr. A. G. Benjamin be elected auditors for the coming year. Carried.

Moved by Mr. H. Glover & seconded by Mr. A. G. Benjamin that the balance sheet be left over to the incoming management. Carried.

Moved by Mr. G. Benjamin & seconded by Mr. S. Glasser that Mr. H. Glover, Mr. J. Levy, Mr M. Davis & Mr. G. Benjamin meet together to go into the matters concerning the Burial Ground (Upper Harrington Street) also the Launceston Shul & to report to the management. Carried.

Moved by Mr. S. G. Benjamin & seconded by Mr. J. Levy that while expressing our entire confidence in the Trustees of the Hobart Hebrew Congregation, the officers of Trustees be elected annually. Carried.

Moved by Mr. G. Benjamin & seconded by Mr. A. G. Benjamin that the Trustees of the Hobart Hebrew Philanthropic Society be elected annually at the annual general meeting. Carried.

The President then declared the meeting closed.
