The Annual General Meeting of the Hobart Hebrew Congregation was held at the Synagogue on 6/9/42Present

Balance Sheet
The meeting was declared open and the annual Balance Sheet was received & discussed. The report showed extremely favorable and pleasing comment was made on investments in War Loan & War Savings Certificate: appreciation was shown by members, for the work put into the Balance Sheet by A. G. Benjamin and R. A. Caupe who acts as honorary Auditor. R.
Benjamin moved that the Balance Sheet be received and adopted – seconded by H. Epstein.
Carried Unam.
Acting Secretary
It was proposed by V. Coronel that Rose Glasser be nominated as Acting Secretary while Sam Glasser was in Military Camp. Seconded by R. Benjamin.

Election of Officers
Owing to the small attendance of this meeting it was proposed by R. Benjamin, seconded by V. Coronel that the present officers & committee carried on for the time being & leave election of officers for a future date.
Honorarium
Proposed by C. Epstein seconded by H Epstein that an Honorarium be sent to Mr. Schloss for his able assistance with Synagogue Services.
Services
Proposed by R. Benjamin Sec V. Coronel that an early evening service for New Year Services be held at 5.30 to 6 pm owing to brown out restrictions. A notice for this new time of service was to be inserted in the Mercury.
Letter
It was proposed by R. Benjamin seconded by R. Glasser that a letter be forwarded to A. G. Benjamin sending wishes for a speedy recovery from ill health. Committee members desired to sign same.

Repairs
Repairs were made to side gate under the supervision of R. Benjamin. Spouting repairs were under way.
A Vote of thanks was made to the chairman.
