Tuesday 28th September 1943.

A meeting was called for the Jewish Community to attend a meeting at the Synagogue to make final arrangements for the position of Rev. Ansbacher as Minister for the Congregation for 12 months, also to elect office bearers of the Board.

A long discussion was held regarding the means of payment of subscribers and members to the sum needed of £250 for the salary of the Minister.

A motion was moved by S. Pollack and seconded by G. Benjamin that a voluntary amount be subscribed by each member of the congregation payable quarterly or yearly as desired. Twenty Five Jewish representatives of family incomes were present & 18 volunteered the sum of £160.

The election of Officers was held and the nominations for President & 5 representatives of
the Board are as follows.

                           Mr Frank
Treasurer           Mr R Glasser
Nominated Treasurer has since resigned owing to forced staff shortages in private affairs.
